People in areas of the world most impacted by climate change (California among them) may be interested in the findings of Distinguished Professor of Earth Sciences at Duke, Drew Shindell. In August, he testified before Congress that nearly 4.5 million US deaths and 300 million lost workdays could be avoided over the next 50 years if we can prevent the Earth’s atmosphere from warming beyond 2°C.
