This award is presented to a third-year Duke DPT student selected by the Duke PT Alumni Association. This award is given to recognize a student for their strong commitment to the profession of Physical Therapy and to encourage support of and participation in the activities of the APTA activities by sending a Duke PT Student to an APTA sanctioned conference. Students may nominate themselves or another student for this award. Nominations may also be made by the faculty or a Duke PT Alumnus. The award is given at graduation and includes reimbursement of up to $1,000.00 towards expenses to an APTA Annual Conference as well as a matched $1,000.00 in funds from the Duke DPT Division. Ability to be funded to attend in person will depend on Duke COVID-19 restrictions for travel.
