Dear Duke Law Alumni,
Officials at Duke University, along with health officials worldwide, have been monitoring the outbreak of COVID-19. Amid the rapidly evolving situation, Duke University has suspended on- and off-campus events of more than 50 people through April 20, 2020.
As a result, Duke Law Reunion Weekend 2020 has been postponed.
Every year, alumni look forward to celebrating at Reunion Weekend, and the decision to postpone this event was not made lightly.
The Duke Law Alumni & Development Office is exploring options for celebrating your reunion with you at a later time, and we will follow up with additional details in the coming weeks. We look forward to Reunion Weekend each year, so we share your disappointment in this change of plans. However, your health and safety remains Duke Law School’s top priority. Together, we can contribute to protecting the well-being of the Duke Law alumni community.
All alumni who have registered for Reunion 2020 will receive a full refund for event registration fees and we will be reaching out to registered attendees with additional information about your event registration refund.
Please note that the Law School is not able to reimburse for hotel or travel costs. If you have reserved a hotel room in the Duke Law Reunion block at the Washington Duke Inn or JB Duke Hotel, you have until March 16, 2020 (Washington Duke Inn) and March 17, 2020 (JB Duke Hotel) to cancel your reservation and receive a full refund. If you reserved a room in the Duke Law Reunion block at the Hilton Garden Inn, you have until 72 hours prior to your reservation start date to cancel and receive a refund. Please contact the hotels directly to cancel your reservations.
Thank you for your understanding as the Law School takes every precaution to ensure the well-being of its community. Additional resources, if helpful, are available below:
