Recreate Responsibly in Our Public Lands in California
During this public health crisis, more people are going outside (read this study from the Outdoor Industry Association) due to COVID-19 restrictions on other activities. Follow these guidelines to help us take care of our public lands.
While several national forests, parks, and state parks remain closed in California due to the wildfires, stay updated on open/closed status of forests and parks:

Wildfire Safety for Your Household
In the midst of wildfire season, prepare for your household’s safety. Check the California State Wildfire Response Resources, local emergency alerts, emergency responses, and evacuation plans. Stay updated on the California wildfires and NOAA weather alerts.
Looking for ways to support our devastated communities during this wildfire season? Many places are not taking physical goods at this time, in light of COVID-19 precautions; however, you can still donate to a local organization and/or fund. Here are a few resources:
