Connect with nature

Sarah P. Duke Gardens Weekend

Join fellow alumni, family and friends for a rejuvenating weekend at Duke Gardens in Durham, NC. Our Gardens Weekend aims to explore our relationship with nature, and learn more about the abundant benefits it bestows upon us. Through this program we hope you will deepen your connection with nature and reenergize a practice of self-care.

Hosted at the heart of Duke University is Sarah P. Duke Gardens, home to 55 acres of specialized gardens that feature four distinct spaces, each with its own focus and flavor. Founded in 1934, Duke Gardens is now considered one of the top 10 public gardens in the United States.

What to Expect

During the weekend, you will spend the day in a combination of fascinating lectures with Duke Faculty and hands-on experiences. You will learn about nature’s benefits on our mind and body, and how we in turn can support nature.
