Blockchain technology has the potential to transform the landscape of many different industries. Specifically in the field of healthcare, it could provide a completely new model with increased security, privacy, and interoperability of health data. But how can blockchain be integrated into current healthcare systems and what are the current challenges facing widespread adoption?

Join us for a discussion with Xiling Shen, director of Duke's Woo Center for Big Data and Precision Health and Hawkins Family Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering, and Daniel Napierski '98, Boston-based software architect focusing on the application of blockchain technologies. We look forward to bringing together Duke alumni in the Boston area for an evening of discussion, networking and connecting on this innovative topic.
