Join DukeNY volunteers and middle & high school students for a day of career exploration at the Frederick Douglass Center in Central Harlem. We are partnering with Children's Aid to expose students to the range of careers available to them and to introduce' the soft skills' of professional etiquette and elevator pitches. Read more about Children's Aid.

To kick the day off, we will have opening remarks from Tai Abrams '09, author of Who Am I?: An A-Z Career Guide for Teens and a mentor and success coach for ambitious and uncertain teens. Afterwards, volunteers will have the chance to interact in very small groups with students, to help build their confidence in the working world by sharing experiences and answering questions.

In addition to "giving back," the day should be a fun one for volunteers, re-connecting with some familiar faces and making some new alumni connections. We look forward to seeing you there!
