Duke Puget Sound and Duke’s Office of Institutional Equity invite you to an interactive workshop led by Dr. Leigh-Anne Royster, Assistant Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, that focuses on foundational concepts related to DEI and skill building toward culture change.
In this workshop, participants will:
- Engage terms and definitions related to building inclusive and equitable communities;
- Understand how DEI concepts relate to workplace culture and community building;
- Apply understanding of concepts to real-world examples; and
- Develop individual and collective action strategies for implementing change.
Equipped with the concepts and skills learned from this workshop, we hope to work together even more mindfully to plan and promote diverse and inclusive programs for our Duke Puget Sound community, and more welcoming environments at alumni events.
