March 11 update:

Duke University has suspended all campus events with over 50 attendees until April 20 (see the March 10 statement from President Price). Therefore, we are no longer holding DataFest 2020 at Penn Pavilion. We are currently working with the national DataFest committee to plan a virtual alternative for this year's event. We'll continue to update the website as more informaiton becomes available. Please email Maria Tackett at maria.tackett@duke.edu if you have any questions.

ASA DataFestTM is a data analysis competition where teams of up to five students attack a large, complex, and surprise dataset over a weekend. Their job is to represent their school by finding and communicating insights into these data. The teams that impress the judges will win prizes as well as glory for their school. Everyone will have a great experience, lots of food, and fun!

ASA DataFestTM at Duke is organized by the Department of Statistical Science at Duke University, and co-hosted by the Departments of Statistics and Operations Research at UNC and Statistics at NCSU. Contact Professor Maria Tackett if you have any questions at maria.tackett@duke.edu.

Alumni and doctoral students are invited to participate as judges or consultants. Contact Yue Jiang at yue.jiang@duke.edu.

If you're interested in sponsoring the event please contact Professor Tackett.
