Latinos make up less than 4% of Fortune 500 board seats. Yet Latinos are a major force of the U.S. economy. Latinos accounted for 82% of the growth in U.S. labor-force participation between 2010 and 2017 and the purchasing power of the Latino community is expected to top $1.9 trillion by 2023.

The Fuqua School of Business, the Duke University Hispanic/Latino Alumni Association (DUHLAA), and DHR International have partnered on a virtual program to support getting Hispanic and Latino/a/x Duke alumni talent on private and public boards.

In this three-part webinar series, executive search experts, seasoned board directors, and board decision makers will uncover potential challenges and opportunities that apply to you and your future in board service. Attendees will walk away with a personal and tactical plan to becoming board ready.

In the third webinar, you will explore your own broad network of connections that will be a part of your board director preparation. Your network is invaluable in identifying, engaging, and securing future board roles and will set you up for success as a contributing board director.   

In Session 3 we will:

1. Engage with experienced board director and decision maker panelists on the topic of networking

2. Learn how to leveraging your own networks to become visible for board opportunities

3. Join a healthy pipeline of Latinx leaders and Duke Alumni ready to serve on corporate boards

DAA Event Refund Policy

Event Cancellation by Sponsor

The Duke Alumni Association (DAA) reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable.If DAA cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.

Registration Cancellation by Participant

Unless specifically stated on registration materials, the deadline to receive a refund for your registration is 5 business days before the event. Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund. Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event. Cancellations will be accepted via phone, fax or e-mail, and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline. All refund requests must be made by the attendee or credit card holder. Refund requests must include the name of the attendee and/or transaction number. Refunds will be credited back to the original credit card used for payment. These above policies apply to all DAA Events unless otherwise noted in the corresponding event materials. Please read all individual event information thoroughly.
