Many of us spend our days in pursuit of better health—but what about our nights? No matter what we do for our wellness during the day, if our sleep isn't restful and aligned, we can't find optimal health. Join the Duke Nashville Women's Forum as Nicole Cyrille, certified yoga therapist, shows us how to take our sleep to a deeper and more restful place.

Based on her extensive experience in the field of yoga therapy, Nicole will present key elements from her upcoming masterclass on improving sleep, as well as a deeper dive into the yoga-related aspects, such as:
 

  • Body alignment to wake up free of aches and pains
  • Postures to ease insomnia
  • Yoga nidra to relax and fall asleep
  • Essential oils to aid in relaxation


This 90-minute session is perfect for beginners—no prior yoga experience is required. Since the workshop will include practicing yoga postures, loose, comfortable clothing or workout gear is recommended.Participants should bring a towel. It is also recommended that attendees bring their own yoga mat, though a limited quantity will be available to rent for an additional $2 fee, payable at the studio.

All participants will be required to fill out a waiver form onsite.

Event Cancellation by Sponsor

The Duke Alumni Association (DAA) reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable.If DAA cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.

Registration Cancellation by Participant

Unless specifically stated on registration materials, the deadline to receive a refund for your registration is 5 business days before the event. Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund. Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event. Cancellations will be accepted via phone, fax or e-mail, and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline. All refund requests must be made by the attendee or credit card holder. Refund requests must include the name of the attendee and/or transaction number. Refunds will be credited back to the original credit card used for payment. These above policies apply to all DAA Events unless otherwise noted in the corresponding event materials. Please read all individual event information thoroughly.
