Join us at The Molina Family Latino Gallery at the National Museum of American History to explore how Latino History is American History. The 4,500‐square‐foot gallery is the first physical presence of the National Museum of the American Latino. The inaugural exhibition, ¡PRESENTE! A Latino History of the United States introduces critical concepts, moments, and biographies that illuminate the historical and cultural legacy of US Latinas and Latinos.
Prior to our self-guided tour of the Gallery, we will hear remarks from
- Jorge Zamanillo, Founding Director of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Latino
- Edgardo Colón-Emeric M.Div.'97, Ph.D.'07, Dean of Divinity School; Irene and William McCutchen Professor of Reconciliation and Theology; Director of the Center for Reconciliation
- Vincent Guilamo-Ramos M.S.N.'17, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, Dean and Professor of School of Nursing and Vice Chancellor for Nursing Affairs; Founding Director of the Center for Latino Adolescent and Family Health (CLAFH)
This will be an extraordinary program that you don’t want to miss!
**During registration, you will have the opportunity to register for the tour and/or the reception, based on your availability.
