Recreate a memory. Share your favorite photo from your Duke years at www.mydukemoment.com . Vote on your favorites, winners will have their shots professionally recreated during Reunions Weekend. Submit your photo by Feb. 10, 2017.  

Spread the word. Start reconnecting with your Duke peers and encouraging your classmates to join you at your Reunion. Let us know if you’re interested in helping promote reunions by signing up as an Attendance Network Volunteer on the Planning to Attend List.

Update.  Make sure your Duke Profile is correct and up to date.

Get your group together.  Request a meeting space for your affinity group in the Affinity Gathering Zone, located in Card Gym and in the Hall of Honor at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Spaces are available for 1.5 hour increments on Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Book your hotel. The 50th Reunion will be staying at the following hotels:

Reunions Weekend Highlights

Your Reunion Weekend will be filled with opportunities to see friends, rekindle memories and experience all the things you love about Duke. Here are just a few highlights from what will be an unforgettable weekend:

FRIDAY, APRIL 7

2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Spotlight Speakers 1: Making an Impact and Inspiring Change
Reynolds Theater, Bryan Center, West Campus
Whether it was 50 years ago, a couple of decades past, or today, students at Duke have looked for ways to make an impact and inspire change in their community and around the world. In this thought-provoking session, we will hear from members of the classes of 1967, 1992, and 2017 discuss the challenges they tackled as students and their experiences using their knowledge in service of society.

6:30 – 10:30 p.m.
Class of 1967 50th Reunion Celebration
President’s Ballroom, Washington Duke Inn
This special evening kicks off with a reception sponsored by the Heritage Society and Office of Gift Planning from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. After catching up with friends over cocktails and light hors d’oeuvres, adjourn to the President’s Ballroom at 7:30 p.m. for a delicious served dinner. The evening continues with a dessert buffet, giving classmates additional opportunity to mix and mingle while a DJ provides music from your Duke days. (Wine will be served with dinner, and a cash full bar will open after entrees are cleared and dessert buffet opens). Business casual attire (sports coats for men).

SATURDAY, APRIL 8

8:30 – 10:30 a.m.
50th Reunion Breakfast Featuring Duke’s President-Elect, Vincent Price
Presidents Ballroom, Washington Duke Inn
This special event, hosted exclusively for the Class of 1967 by Jack Bovender A.B.’67, M.H.A.’69, and Barbara Bovender, will offer classmates a unique opportunity to hear from Vincent Price, president-elect of Duke University. A hearty breakfast buffet will open at 8:30 a.m., and remarks begin at 9:00 a.m. Don’t miss this highlight 50th reunion event! (Thanks to the generosity of the Bovenders, this event is free of charge, but you must register to attend). Casual attire.

3:00 – 4:30 p.m.
Class of 1967 Tour of East Campus
Bus departs for East Campus from Reunions Central at 3:00 p.m.
This tour of East Campus is exclusively for the Class of 1967. The bus will drop you off in front of the East Duke Building, and you’ll meet your tour guides (members of the Housing, Dining and Residence Life staff) in the East Duke Parlors. Featured points of interest in this walking tour include White Lecture Hall, the newly renovated East Campus Union, Baldwin Auditorium, Lily Library, and several other East Campus landmarks. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Bus will take tour participants back to Reunions Central at the conclusion of the tour.

6:30 – 10:30 p.m.
Class of 1967 Induction into the Half Century Club
Penn Pavilion, West Campus
The Class of 1967 and the Half Century Club will enjoy a fabulous dinner together in one of Duke’s newest spaces, Penn Pavilion (next to the Bryan Center on West Campus). This casual, yet festive dinner features the induction of the 50th reunion class into the ranks of one of Duke’s most prestigious groups, the Half Century Club! Sterly Wilder ’83, associate vice president for alumni affairs, and Jack Boyd ‘85, president, Duke Alumni Association will make remarks; President Richard Brodhead will also be on hand to speak with the group. Enjoy a champagne toast to finish the evening on a high note! A DJ will be on hand to play tunes for dancing and/or reminiscing. Wear whatever makes you feel festive.

  • 6:30 – 7:15 p.m.: reception (wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages and light hors d’oeuvres
  • 7:15 – 9:15 p.m.: served dinner, followed by induction ceremony (with champagne toast)
  • 9:15 – 10:30 p.m.: mix, mingle, or dance (DJ will provide the music)

SUNDAY, APRIL 9

Close out an unforgettable Reunions Weekend with the Champagne Toast in the beautiful Sarah P. Duke Gardens.
