Join Duke alumni, parents, students and friends for a wide-ranging conversation with former Duke Chronicle editor Devin Gordon ‘98 about his recently published book on the New York Mets, titled "So Many Ways to Lose".

"In this hilarious history of the Mets and love letter to the art of disaster, Devin Gordon presents baseball the way it really is." "Along the way, he explains the difference between being bad and being gifted at losing, and why this distinction holds the key to understanding the true amazin' magic of the New York Mets."

Gordon will talk about the book, his path to former role as executive editor at GQ, and whether he thinks any of Duke's sports teams compare to the misfortunate Mets. The conversation will be moderated by Sports Illustrated writer and former Chronicle managing editor, Emma Baccellieri '16—who covers MLB. The event will conclude with audience Q&A.
