During Duke Alums Engage Week, join fellow alumni working to make a change in the literacy statistics in Philadelphia with a day of service at Tree House Books.

The vision at Tree House Books is that every child in Philadelphia have access to books and the opportunity to pursue their dreams. Tree House Books supports the crucial role families play in creating a literacy-rich environment, and actively work to promote families reading together at home. Read the Tree House Books Mission Statement.

Duke alumni will support this effort by working in their literacy library, sorting books by age range, stamping, bundling and boxing books to sustain this community of young readers.

Can't attend on April 28th? Participate in our Book Drive by donating new and gently used books. Children's books are most in need, but books for all ages will be accepted.
