Please join us for a virtual event with the North Carolina Museum of Art to discuss the exciting new exhibition, Golden Mummies of Egypt. Enjoy an introduction by Dr. Valerie Hillings '93, director of the Museum, followed by a presentation by Dr. Caroline Rocheleau, director of research and curator of ancient art at the Museum, as well as the curator of Golden Mummies. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.

On view through July 11, 2021, in its first appearance at an American art museum, Golden Mummies of Egypt features eight extraordinary, gilded mummies and more than 100 related objects including papyri, jewelry, ceramics, and depictions of deities that connect the domestic, daily sphere of these Greco-Roman Egyptians to the religious world of the gods.
