Duke Native American and Indigenous Alumni (DNAIA) is a circle of support for the University’s Native American students and alumni. The group welcomes alumni who are committed to building an inclusive community that celebrates the diverse cultures and perspectives of Indigenous peoples. DNAIA aims to amplify the voices and heighten the visibility of Native Americans at Duke, and to acknowledge Indigenous ties to places associated with and served by the University. DNAIA seeks opportunities to work alongside students, faculty, staff, parents, and friends to:

• Maintain contact with Native American alumni

• Provide opportunities for alumni to empower and serve Duke’s Native American community

• Raise awareness about Native Americans at Duke

• Celebrate the accomplishments of Native American alumni

• Cultivate future alumni who are engaged and prepared to serve the University community in various ways
