Best Foot Forward

Bill T. Jones, above, whose troupe, Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, will perform on campus July14-16 at the American Dance Festival, was named the 2005 winner of the annual Samuel H. Scripps/ADF Award, which pays tribute to choreographers for lifetime achievement in modern dance. Jones founded the company in 1982 with his late partner Arnie Zane.

This year's festival, from June 9 to July 22, features 50 performances from seven countries, including 17 dance companies, eight world premieres, and two U.S. premieres. For tickets, contact the box office at (919) 684-4444.
