As a volunteer, you play a key role in helping us identify Blue Devils whose dedication and service embody the best of Duke. Your nominations help ensure our awards reflect the spirit of our alumni community.
Submit your nomination by December 2, 2025 for one of four awards:
DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARD
The highest award offered by Duke Alumni Engagement and Development and the Duke Alumni Board. This annual award is given with great care to a Duke graduate with distinguished lifetime contributions in their own particular fields or professions, in service to Duke University, and to the betterment of humanity.
CHARLES A. DUKES AWARD
Presented to living alumni and/or living parent volunteers who have served in Duke leadership roles, having devoted themselves to extraordinary, long-term efforts (for 10 years or more), that have helped further Duke’s mission.
BEYOND DUKE AWARD
Recognizes living alumni who have distinguished themselves through service to their community, their country or to society at large. Awards are given in three categories for work beyond standard and reasonable professional expectations: recent graduates (up to 5 years since graduating from Duke), service to the local community, service to the global community.
FOREVER DUKE AWARD
Recognizes living alumni and living parents for exceptional and unique volunteer service that occurred in the last 12 months, to Duke, Duke Alumni and other constituent groups.
