We are excited to announce the recent launch of a new mentoring program in the *Tri-State area called Blue Devils Beyond which will pair 2024 grads (undergrads) with seasoned alumni (undergrad or grad) in the area to support them both personally and professionally as they transition to life after Duke. 

Congratulations -- you did it! On behalf of Duke First, a community of first-generation and low-income students-turned alums, we are celebrating this moment with you. After getting into Duke, choosing to make it your home, and navigating through your program here, you’re now becoming an alum.

On February 17, just under 200 First-Generation/Low-Income students, alumni, faculty, and staff came together for our 2nd Annual Duke First Resilience Dinner. It was an evening of good food, shared experiences, amazing connections, and exciting raffle prizes.

The first Duke Europe Women's Forum event of 2023 is a time management workshop facilitated by Kelly Nolan, an attorney-turned-time management strategist. After experiencing overwhelm as a young patent litigator in Boston, Kelly figured out a time management system to help her show up in the ways that she wanted to at work and at home—without requiring her brain to somehow magically remember it all.

After what seems like forever, we are hosting our annual Graduation with Distinction/End of Year poster celebration, and you're invited! Join us April 19th from 4:30-6pm in DIBS for swag and sweet treats while perusing the varying projects our senior neuroscience majors have done. This would be a great opportunity for those of you who live close by to drop in and network.

For those who are going to be around for your graduation this fall, please stop by DIBS from 1-4pm on Friday, Sept. 24th!

While we can't make it to the weekend graduation event and festivities, we'd love to see you again when you're visiting campus. We will have the DIBS lab space open so that you can take photos with a human brain and catch up with friends (socially distanced, of course).

The Duke Initiative for Science & Society (“Science & Society”) fosters research, education, communication, democratic deliberation, and policy engagement on the ethical progress of science and technology in society. Science & Society takes an interdisciplinary approach, with a focus on applied ethics and policy, to advance the responsible use of science and technology for humanity.

Fuqua's Career Management Center holds alumni career workshops online and in person. Past workshops have covered such topics as career progression, job trends, networking through LinkedIn, and more. Check out our upcoming schedule and recordings here.
