Your 15-day journey into Egypt begins in Cairo and environs with the Egyptian Museum and the open-air museum at Memphis, where you will encounter the enigmatic Sphinx, then continue on to Sakkara and the Pyramids of Giza. Relax during a deluxe four-night cruise on Lake Nasser, where we visit the sphinxes at Wadi el-Seboua’s “Valley of the Lions.” Explore the temples at Abu Simbel and Aswan’s temples at Kalabsha. A three-night Nile cruise takes you from Aswan to Luxor. Enjoy a belly dancing performance accompanying dinner.  Fly to Cairo where visits include the 5th-century St. Sergius Church and Ben Erza Synagogue. Discover Petra, the fabled “rose-red city, half as old as time,” plus ancient Jerash and the capital of Amman, with an optional 5-day/4-night post tour extension to Jordan.
