Unparalleled game viewing, top-rated lodges, and gracious local people – all await your small group “on safari” in alluring Kenya and Tanzania for 16 days.  Beginning in cosmopolitan Nairobi, encounter many and varied highlights, from grassland plains to Mt. Kilimanjaro’s foothills, from the world’s largest volcanic crater to the edge of the Rift Valley.  First is Amboseli National Park, known for its large elephant population, followed by peaceful Lake Manyara National Park with its incredibly varied ecosystem.  Stay in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, with a unique chance to see Africa’s “Big Five.”  Visit Olduvai Gorge, site of Mary Leakey’s revolutionary discovery.  Embarking on game drives, experience the storied Serengeti, considered Africa’s finest park.  After a three-night stay in Masai Mara, Kenya’s premier game reserve, toast the safari adventure back in Nairobi.  Spend two nights at the legendary Mount Kenya Safari Club with an optional post-tour extension.
