This leisurely 15-day small group exploration of Italy’s northern regions begins with a relaxing three-night stay on Lake Maggiore.  Your lake region touring includes Stresa and Orta San Giulio, and a cruise to Isola Bella, the beautiful island set in the middle of Lake Maggiore.  You travel to the Italian Riviera resort town of Santa Margherita, stopping in Barolo to sample the “king of wines.”  Enjoy a full-day Cinque Terre excursion featuring Vernazza.  Travel by boat to the renowned resort town of Portofino then continue south to beloved Tuscany, stopping in medieval Lucca.  Explore wondrous Florence, Tuscany’s crown jewel.  Next, discover the exquisite walled city of Siena, Shakespeare’s storied Verona, and Bolzano, gateway to the magnificent Dolomites.  Your remarkable journey concludes in romantic Venice with its complex maze of canals and its unforgettable St. Mark’s Square.  Savor more time in beautiful Venice on an optional 3-day/2-night post-tour extension.
