Position Descriptions

Our mission is to create lifelong connections between alumni and Duke that transform the university, its students and fellow alumni. DAA works to achieve its vision by doing the following: 

  • Engaging alumni in the ongoing life of the university 
  • Connecting alumni with each other and with resources and opportunities to advance their interests 
  • Celebrating the achievements of Duke and its alumni around the world 

Dedicated volunteers are essential to the ongoing success of exemplifying the spirit of Forever Duke. As a volunteer you have the exciting opportunity to build community and to bring Duke Alumni presence to your area. The following pages contains volunteer leadership position descriptions available at the regional level within the Duke Alumni Association. The position descriptions help identify and clarify your roles and expectations. They further help to define collaborative relationships, qualifications and expected time commitments. These are not exhaustive and are here to provide guidelines while allowing for flexibility and vision particular to each volunteer.
