Climate change is often misunderstood as just warmer temperatures, but this is only the beginning of the story. As an interconnected system, when the earth changes in one area it can influence changes worldwide. While long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns can be natural, since the 1800s these shifts have been predominantly driven by human activities (e.g. burning fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas).

Do we have a path for our lives that is predetermined by a deity or how atoms are moving since the Big Bang? Or do we truly get to direct our terrestrial journey with our own decisions?
