This 15-day small group tour travels from Provence to Lyon, Burgundy to Paris, basking in the history and art, culture and cuisine that marks these cherished spots. The journey begins in Aix-en-Provence, “City of Fountains,” where we admire the city’s rich architectural heritage. Then continue on to Arles and Roman-influenced Nimes, exploring the city center. Then on to Avignon for a Provençal cooking class. Next visit Les Beaux to see Carrieres de Lumiere a multimedia art exhibit. In Lyon, explore ruins of the Gallo-Roman theater and view jaw-dropping street art. Embark on a cruise over pristine Lake Annecy, before making your way to the Burgundy wine region; then travel to historic Dijon, known for its rich history and culture. Here, we tour the Burgundian capital and have time to explore on our own. Lastly, spend two wonderful nights exploring Paris, the city of love.
