A land of treasures archaeological, cultural, and natural awaits your small group on this engaging 11-day tour. The Peruvian adventure begins with Lima’s highlights, both colonial and modern, including the historic Casa Aliaga and the renowned Larco Herrera Museum.  In historic Cuzco, visit the sacred sites of Koricancha and Santo Domingo. Experience Peru’s rich cultural heritage in the beautiful Sacred Valley, exploring Pisac’s colorful Indian market, admiring Ollantaytambo’s massive ruins, and visiting indigenous villages. After a scenic train ride, encounter Machu Picchu’s astounding ruins on two guided tours, overnighting at a nearby hotel.  Returning to Cuzco, see Sacsayhuamán’s impressive ruins and enjoy a tour highlight:  lunch in a gracious family’s home.  Traverse Peru’s dramatic altiplano with its snowcapped mountains to stunning Lake Titicaca, where a full-day exploration includes a boat ride to the Uros people’s floating reed islands.  Discover the Amazon rainforest’s many wonders on an optional 4-day/4-night post-tour extension.
