Find your fit
Not sure how to get involved with the Duke Alumni Association? Not sure what to do first? Here’s a guide to help you discover all the ways you can connect, engage and celebrate through DAA – and how to find the right mix for you.
Duke alumni groups are active in cities of all sizes all around the world. Each year we help alumni volunteers put on hundreds of social, educational and cultural events that allow you to meet Duke alumni in your area and learn new things about your alma mater. There’s no need to sign up: Just keep your address up-to-date and we’ll send you news about all the Duke events in your area. You can also see what’s happening any time on our Regional Events page.
Keep on top of campus life by reading our award-winning Duke Magazine and our monthly e-newsletter Duke Blue Connections. (If you’re not getting these, let us know.) And make sure to follow DukeAlumni on social media to see all the latest news about Duke, DAA and its amazing alumni.
We know Duke alumni are hungry for new knowledge, and we serve it up in many ways – through online courses, lectures from your favorite professors, in-depth educational experiences and more. Check out our Forever Learning programs and experience the thrill of a Duke education all over again.
Alumni can make a huge difference for students and recent grads by offering mentoring, advice and career leads. Check out programs such as Alumni Interviewing, the Duke Reader Project and our Life 101 series for students for ways to offer advice and mentoring to students. And make sure your profile is up-to-date so students can seek you out for career advice.
Offering an internship or career opportunity to a Duke student or recent grad is the ultimate win-win. If you’re looking to add Duke talent to your team, contact the Duke Career Center. You can also see our Career Networking page to learn how we're supporting the careers of alumni and students.
Of course we love the financial support our alumni provide, but giving isn’t the only way alumni can make a difference in the Duke community. Every year thousands of Duke alumni give time, talent and leadership to the university. Volunteering for Duke is a great way to experience Duke from the inside and make things better for students and alumni.
Our travel programs offer unforgettable experiences with a Duke flavor. You can explore the most fascinating, exotic places on Earth with faculty and alumni who can offer insider knowledge and perspective.
