Looking for a uniquely Duke learning experience? Explore our immersive programs, which put alumni behind the scenes at some of the most distinctive educational settings in the Duke universe.
Marine Lab Weekend
At the gateway to North Carolina’s Outer Banks, the Duke Marine Laboratory hosts some of the world's leading experts on oceans and the animals who depend on them. Our weekend programs give alumni an informed view of these treasured landscapes and the ecological challenges they face, complete with hands-on activities and field trips to explore the wonders of North Carolina's rich coastal landscape.
Learn with Lemurs
A window to Madagascar awaits you at Duke’s hidden gem – the Duke Lemur Center. Our weekend programs offer an opportunity to get to know these athletic, social and surprisingly intelligent creatures and to learn about the biological conservation work that is essential to saving their natural habitat.
The Duke Exclusive
The Duke Exclusive offers local alumni and university guests the chance to experience one-of-a-kind educational excursions only Duke can offer.
At the heart of campus, with Sarah P. Duke Gardens, our weekend explores the arrival and purpose of the modern garden. Learn from our experts who curate the lush flora across Duke's 55 acres of specialized gardens, and hear guest lecturer Richard Bisgrove, world-renowned landscape designer and authority on garden history, share his rich knowledge.
