Join Duke alumni, parents, students and friends for a wide-ranging conversation with former Duke Chronicle editor Maureen Farrell '01 and her co-author Eliot Brown about their recently published book, The Cult of We: WeWork, Adam Neumann, and the Great Startup Delusion.
The Cult of We is the definitive inside story of WeWork, its audacious founder, and what its epic unraveling says about a financial system drunk on the elixir of Silicon Valley innovation—from the Wall Street Journal correspondents (recently featured in the WeWork Hulu documentary) whose scoop-filled reporting hastened the company’s downfall.
The conversation will be moderated by Scott McCartney '82, Wall Street Journal columnist, co-chair of the Duke Student Publishing Company's board (publishes The Chronicle), and adjunct instructor of journalism and policy at the DeWitt Wallace Center for Media and Democracy. The event will conclude with audience Q&A.
