Duke Boston works to keep the over 7,000 Duke alumni in the Boston area connected with each other and with Duke. The chapter is one of the five largest and most active in the Duke Alumni network, sponsoring dozens of events each year.

By working collaboratively with all of Duke’s schools, affinity and identity groups, and university groups, Duke Boston creates a comprehensive Duke presence in the area. We plan and host Duke-wide signature events, educational and social programs, and networking opportunities across multiple industries. We gather to learn, to celebrate the achievements of Duke and its alumni, to participate in civic-engagement programs in our community, to welcome new Duke alumni, to interview prospective students and more.

Events in the region include:

  • Major opportunity events such as An Evening with Duke's Best and Brightest with Duke President Vincent E. Price,
  • Regular events around key programs such as Women’s Forum, Duke Alums Engage and Duke Boston Business Network,
  • Regular events organized by affinity and identity groups, schools and other Duke programs,
  • Forever Learning events including Faculty Fellow speakers and talks by other Duke faculty, alumni and leaders,
  • Social events including game watches, young alumni events, holiday parties,
  • and much more.

How to get involved:

Update your contact information: Alumni automatically receive updates about Duke Alumni regional groups based on the address we have on record. If you’re not hearing about activities where you live, update your contact information in your profile.

Connect with other alumni: Use the group members and search functions on this site to find alumni in the region and beyond.

Attend an event: Find a social, cultural or educational event on our calendar and sign up. You’ll meet interesting people with all different kinds of Duke backgrounds, but who share your desire to stay connected to Duke.

Interview prospective students: (Alumni Admissions Advisory Committees)

  • Boston (North)
  • Boston (South)
  • Cape Cod
  • Central Massachusetts

Volunteer! We need your help to create an active and dynamic region. Nearly 10,000 Duke alumni participate in projects that support Duke’s academic mission, placing Duke’s knowledge, influence and insight in service of society and enriching their own lives in the process.
