Join other Duke London alumni to prepare and serve dinner at the C4WS Winter Shelter on Wednesday, 22 February (6:30-9pm). We need a team of five people to join the resident chef in preparing a meal for up to 16 guests, and then we'll join them at the table for dinner.

The American International Church in Tottenham Court Road has been the friendly Wednesday night host for a number of years. To join our Feb. 22nd team, or if you have any questions, email buckrobin@yahoo.com.

The C4WS Winter Shelter is open November through March each year. The shelter is emergency accommodation that offers guests a 28-day stay and a caseworker who will provide holistic welfare support (pertaining to employment, education, immigration, and English language). Guests are referred to the shelter by approved partners in the Borough of Camden.  

Since 2006, the Winter Shelter has been hosted in rotation by supporting churches. Church members and friends volunteer their time to cook and provide companionship to guests. Every effort is made to make guests feel comfortable and at home.
