We still live in times where the struggle for human rights continues. All individuals deserve to be protected against discrimination, human rights violations and basic indecency. All people regardless of background should be respected and their rights protected.

We the affinity groups of the Duke Alumni Association stand strongly with our fellow Duke LGBTQ+ Network alumni and support their statement opposing recent legislation in state legislatures targeting transgender individuals.
